11 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 24, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request for Use of Collins Field: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the request of the <br /> Wampanoag Tribal Council to host a Youth Sobriety Pow Wow on <br /> Saturday, June 3,2000 at the Collins Field utilizing the Coombs <br /> School as an alternate site location, subject to the agreement of the <br /> Police and Fire Chief,and approve the placement of signage at the <br /> rotary to publicize the event. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> The Selectman requested that a copy of the insurance binder be remitted to <br /> the Office of the Selectmen for the above referenced event. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Memorandum DPW Director—Clearing at Herita e Park: <br /> The Board reviewed the correspondence from the DPW Director dated <br /> April 4,2000 relative to the clearing at Heritage Park. The following <br /> issues will be discussed at the next scheduled meeting; authorization, <br /> potential storage location for excavated material from SD-5 project and <br /> Mashpee Shores road conversion project, and potential expansion of the <br /> subject site for increased ballfields. <br /> Donation of Playgound Equipment. <br /> Late-filed information relative to the proposed donation from the Long <br /> Family to donate and construct a playground on Town land was briefly <br /> discussed. It was noted that Selectman Taylor and the Director of Public <br /> Works are considering potential site locations. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to the concept. A site will be officially designated <br /> at the next scheduled meeting. <br />
