Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 15, 2000 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Sign Request from Americo s—Ca e Cod: <br /> Temporary public interest signs to announce an Earth Day Celebration on <br /> May 20"'at the County Fairgrounds were requested by Barnstable <br /> County's Americorps-Cape Cod. The signs would be placed at the <br /> Mashpee rotary and on Route 151 east,just after Mashpee Commons on <br /> May 16`h and removed on May 21". <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the request for <br /> signage from Americorps-Cape Cod as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment of Senior Clerk—Building Department: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Personnel Administrator dated <br /> May 10, 2000 recommending the appointment of Dawn Thayer to the <br /> position of full-time Senior Clerk to the Building Department. It was <br /> noted that the Building Inspector concurs with the in-house <br /> recommendation. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to appoint Dawn Thayer to the <br /> position of full-time Senior Clerk to the Building Department as <br /> recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Appointment of Beach Superintendent: <br /> Thomas Simms,Jr. was the recommended candidate for the position of <br /> Beach Superintendent by James Marr, Program Supervisor. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to appoint Thomas Simms,Jr. to <br /> the position of Beach Superintendent as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
