8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> lMinutes <br /> May 15, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: lof <br /> Appointment of Associate Shellfish Commissioner: <br /> At their March 20, 2000 meeting, the Shellfish Commission voted to <br /> recommend the appointment of Steven Marques as an Associate Shellfish <br /> Commissioner. The position was duly advertised. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to appoint Steven Marques as an <br /> Associate Shellfish Commissioner as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by.Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Approval of Shellfish Permit Procedure: <br /> Richard York, the Shellfish Constable was present to recommend the <br /> Board approve the commercial shellfish procedure as outlined in his <br /> memorandum of April 18, 2000. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the commercial <br /> shellfish procedure as recommended and outlined in the Shellfish <br /> Constable's memorandum of April 18, 2000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Request for Approval for Grant Application—COA: <br /> Council on Aging Director, James Long remitted correspondence to the <br /> Board dated May b, 2000 relative to the Service Incentive Grant. The <br /> grant would create a ten-hour per week position of volunteer coordinator <br /> at the Senior Center. The total cost per annual is $5,900 and is entirely <br /> grant funded on a year-to-year basis. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the request of the <br /> Council on Aging and approve the Service Incentive Grant <br /> application as outlined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
