8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 22, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS,- <br /> Acceptance of Beach Concession Bids: <br /> The Board reviewed the sole bid received from Cool Licks Concessions of <br /> New Bedford for the operation of the concession stands at the Town <br /> beaches. It was noted that separate bids were requested for South Cape <br /> Beach and Attaquinllohn's Pond Parks. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to award-the Operation of the <br /> Concession Stands at the Town Beaches to Cool Licks Concessions as <br /> follows; <br /> South Cape Beach $1,558.36 <br /> Attagain Park& John's Pond $ 100.00 <br /> $1,658.36 <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> The operator will be requested to guarantee that all three operations will <br /> be run effectively. The Board will further review the issue of concession <br /> stands in an attempt to bring forth-increased revenues to the Town. <br /> Request for Approval of Self-Help Grant Application; <br /> Correspondence was received from the Town Planner dated <br /> May 12, 1000 requesting the Board's authorization to file, on behalf of the <br /> Conservation Commission, a Self-Help Program grant application for the <br /> reimbursement of part of the cost of the Town's approved purchase of the <br /> Al's property on Goodspeed's Meetinghouse Road. <br /> If the request is approved, reimbursement in the amount of$135,200 <br /> would be provided toward the purchase price of$330,000. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cabalane to authorize the request for a <br /> Self-Help Program grant application as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
