(continued) <br /> Selectman Cahalane opened the Hearing to obtain public comment. <br /> Dr. Jacob Shammash, Popponesset island Road related concern to the <br /> distribution of beer on the course although he did not voice objection to <br /> the sale of sandwiches and refreshments. <br /> In response, Mr_ Vetter added that it is common to operate beverage carts <br /> on a golf course facility. He would ensure that the service and the sale of <br /> beer would not be abused_ <br /> Tom Costello, a resident of the 15t`hole stated that he is in favor of the <br /> license request. A noted golfer for forty years, Mr. Costello that every <br /> good course has a beverage cart_ His wife Mary also voiced support to the <br /> beverage service proposal. <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Ball of Mashpee related concern to the sale beer on the golf <br /> course premises stating that it will delay play for those who are truly <br /> interested in the game of golf. <br /> After a detailed discussion, the Board motioned to close the Public <br /> Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Selectman Leveille, Selectman Marsters absent for vote. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to deny the request of New <br /> Seabury Resource Management, Inc., dlb/a New Seabury Country <br /> Club for a change of description of premise for the sale of beer on the <br /> (2) referenced golf courses. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: 2-1. Motion carries. <br /> Selectman Cahalane opposed. <br /> Selectman Leveille, Selectman Marsters absent for vote. <br /> It was noted that the applicant is able to use a beverage cart on the subject <br /> premise to provide refreshments and snacks only. <br />
