3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 22, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Barnstable Counjy Assembly Delegates Interviews: (continued) <br /> Marcia King was the selected candidate as determined by secret ballot. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to appoint Marcia King to <br /> serve as Mashpee's representative to the Barnstable County Assembly <br /> of Delegates until the November 2000 election. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. j <br /> i <br /> i <br /> Public Hearing New Seabury Resource Management, Inc. <br /> Selectman Leveille and Selectman Marsters stepped down for the above <br /> referenced Public Hearing. <br /> Selectman Cahalane presided. Joyce Mason, Assistant Town <br /> Administrator read aloud the Public Hearing notice on the application of <br /> New Seabury Resource Management, Inc., d/b/a new Seabury Country <br /> Club, for a change of description of premise to include the use of a <br /> beverage cart from May 1 to October 15 to provide snacks and <br /> refreshments on the (2)golf courses (Blue and Green). Items to be <br /> furnished would include candy, chips, redi-made sandwiches, soda and <br /> beer. No other alcoholic beverages would be sold in this operation. <br /> J. Richard Vetter, General Manager of New Seabury Resort, LLC. was <br /> present to discuss the license application with the Board of Selectmen and <br /> interested public. <br /> It was noted that the cart would operate, weather permitting, during <br /> normal golf hours of operation. Bottled liquor would not be a part of the <br /> operation. The Country Club currently has a full service liquor license <br /> and desires to be competitive with the present golf course market. It was <br /> noted that responsible beverage staff would operate the cart on the <br /> selected golf courses. <br />
