Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 5, 2000 <br /> COMM[TNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Form to discuss Willowbend Gold Expansion Proposal_ <br /> Members of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council have <br /> scheduled to meet applicable parties on Thursday, June 8, 2000 to revisit <br /> the Willowbend Golf course expansion project proposal. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to support the endeavor of the <br /> Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Marsters stepped down and abstained from voting. <br /> Herring Run Enforcement: <br /> The Selectmen agreed to support the efforts of the Division of Marine <br /> Fisheries and their recommendation for additional EPO Officers to assist <br /> with the control and enforcement of the herring run. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing—AFCEE: New CS-10 Monitoring Wells: <br /> Jacobs Engineering representatives Larry Pannell and Steve Hunt were <br /> present to request the Board grant permission for AFCEE to drill and <br /> install six monitoring wells within the Town's right-of-way along the <br /> shoulder of Hooppole Road, and grant permission for extended work <br /> hours to complete the major drill activities in early August. <br /> Work hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday are <br /> proposed, and 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. <br /> It was noted that both the Police and Fire Departments have reviewed the <br /> project and are supportive. The project does not require the actual closure <br /> of the road. With approval of the Board, a full mailing will be <br /> disseminated to all area neighbors of the actual schedule dates, times and <br /> intended locations of drilling work To date,the issue has been discussed <br /> with three of the eight residents effected by the drilling proposal. <br />
