' 3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 28, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS. <br /> Mashpee Commons: (continued) <br /> Mr. Storrs proposed that a joint planning process be considered to improve <br /> pedestrian flow in the subject area of discussion. It was noted that <br /> planning is also being considered to relocate the Post Office. A meeting is <br /> scheduled next month to discuss program needs. <br /> 6:55 p.m. Selectman Cahalane present. <br /> Assembly of Delegates Update: <br /> Marcia King,Mashpee's representative to the Assembly of Delegates was <br /> present to update the Selectmen on recent activities. Discussion followed <br /> with regards to surplus funding earmarked for dredging and human service <br /> needs. It was noted that the projected surplus for this fiscal year is $2.3 <br /> million. The exact allocation for Mashpee has not yet been determined. <br /> Representatives from the Assembly are scheduled to attend the <br /> Selectmen's Meeting of Monday, October 16, 2000 to discuss the Charter. <br /> Public Hearing—Mashpee Auto Brokers Transfer of License: <br /> Selectman Leveille opened the Public Hearing on the application of Paul <br /> P. Moore, d/b/a Mashpee Auto Brokers to transfer the location of the Class <br /> II Used Car License to 681 Falmouth Road,Mashpee. <br /> Joyce Mason, Assistant Town Administrator read aloud the Public <br /> Hearing notice as published. Paul Moore was present to discuss the <br /> license application with the Board and interested public. <br /> Correspondence was received from the Assistant Building Inspector dated <br /> August 28, 2000 without objection to the parking proposal. A copy of the <br /> Special Permit set forth by the Zoning Board of Appeals was enclosed for <br /> additional review. A petition was also enclosed in opposition to the used <br /> car lot by approximately forty-five homeowners of Deer Crossing. <br />
