Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 11, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing—Mashpee Auto Brokers Class H Used Car License: <br /> Selectman Leveille opened the Public Hearing to continue the hearing on <br /> the application of Paul P. Moore, d/b/a Mashpee Auto Brokers to operate a <br /> Class H Used Car License at 681 Falmouth Road,Mashpee. <br /> Mr. Whritenour, the Town Administrator read aloud the Public Hearing <br /> notice as published. Paul Moore was present to discuss the license <br /> application with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Mr. Moore indicated that if the Class 11 Used Car License is obtained at <br /> 681 Falmouth Road, he would give up his right to display one vehicle at <br /> 680 Falmouth Road, with the exception of his wholesale license as per the <br /> Special Permit ruling. <br /> It was noted that the Zoning Board of Appeals granted a Special Permit to <br /> Mr. Moore which was conditioned that a maximum of four(4) vehicles <br /> are to be displayed at 681 Falmouth Road. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to further stipulate that the applicant would not be <br /> able to come before the Board to request future use and access of the 680 <br /> Falmouth Road site to display and/or sell used vehicles. <br /> Selectman Leveille opened the hearing to obtain comment. <br /> Marjorie Katsoulis, 661 Falmouth Road noted that she previously <br /> presented a petition to the Selectmen in opposition to the proposed used <br /> car lot to be located at Deer Crossing. A current zoning map was <br /> reviewed. Ms. Katsoulis indicated that Consumer Car& Truck Rental <br /> recently filed a permit application for a license similar to that of Mr. <br /> Moore. It was noted that the applicant.withdrew their application without <br /> prejudice and may consider locating this type of establishment in Mashpee <br /> in the future. Ms. Katsoulis requested the Board review this aspect of <br /> zoning, and consider the use of industrial zoning for this type of business. <br /> Mashpee resident, John Madik indicated that he is opposed to the Class II <br /> license request at the intended site location. Mr. Madik indicated that it is <br /> time to slow down the growth in the Town of Mashpee to retain and <br /> preserve its present atmosphere. <br />
