11 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 25, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Approval and Execution of State Election Warrant: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve and execute the <br /> Warrant for the State Election to be held on November 7, 2000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Approval of Conservation Commission Grant Request: <br /> The AmeriCorps-Cape Cod group project proposal and service agreement <br /> was placed on hold until the next scheduled Selectmen's Meeting. <br /> Acceptance of Resignation from Waterways Commission: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to accept the resignation of <br /> Donald R. Lund from the Waterways Commission with regret. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Ratification of Request for Fundraiser Road Race: <br /> Correspondence was received from Self-Reliance, a non-profit <br /> organization dated September 7, 2000 requesting the Selectmen approve <br /> of their fundraising road race on Sunday, September 24, 2000 in Mashpee. <br /> Communication was received from the Police and Fire Chiefs without <br /> objection to the road race proposal. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to ratify the request of Self- <br /> Reliance to hold a fund-raiser road race on September 24, 2000 as <br /> outlined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
