Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes—Verbatim <br /> October 10, 2000 <br /> Selectman Marsters: I make that motion that we give that letter to the BIA <br /> but, we should also give it to our Congressmen and Senators and <br /> those in higher office and up. I'll make that motion. <br /> Selectman Cahalane: To the BIA, and Congressmen. <br /> Selectman Marsters: To the BIA, Congressmen, Representatives and Senators. <br /> Selectman Leveille: Do I have a second? <br /> Selectman Green: I think we need to get the Bill before we get that motion... <br /> Selectman Marsters: Chuck, you are trying to buy time, every time here... <br /> Selectman Green: ...I'll go along with the motion. I'll second that motion. <br /> Selectman Marsters: Full disclosure. Let's get it up, if its that bad, let's just do it. <br /> Selectman Green: I second the motion. <br /> Selectman Leveille: All those in favor—4. <br /> Opposed— 1. (Selectman Cahalane) <br /> Selectman Cahalane: I'd vote on it in a minute if I read it, but I'm not going to vote on a <br /> something I have not seen. <br /> Selectman Marsters: Take my word for it. It's happening. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to send a letter to the <br /> Bureau of Indian Affairs and applicable legislative officials in <br /> opposition to Bill S611 and Bill HR361. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: 4-1. Motion carries. <br /> Selectman Cahalane in opposition. <br /> 7.� <br />
