Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes—Verbatim <br /> October 10, 2000 <br /> Selectman Leveille: Kenny's motion...he said he is seeking representation on these two <br /> Bills, that is the issue to investigate. What we were talking about <br /> is something... <br /> Selectman Cahalan: This is something too, will they represent us? <br /> Selectman Leveille: Will they represent us period?... What kind of financial <br /> arrangements can be made, and what we will discuss at that point, <br /> is the continued role of Hale and Dorr. <br /> Selectman Marsters: Okay. <br /> Selectman Leveille: All those in favor. <br /> Unanimous. Opposed, none. j <br /> I <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to authorize the <br /> Chairman of the Board of Selectmen to investigate the <br /> representation of Perkins and Cole on Bill 61.1 and HR361 and <br /> the potential for representation with the BIA process as soon as <br /> possible. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Selectman Leveille: The last thing we talked about was the immediate lobbyist activity, <br /> but, do we want to wait to see what Perkins and Cole says about <br /> this, or do we want to continue with Hale and Dorr? <br /> Selectman Cahalane: I personnelly would like to hold on this... <br /> Selectman Leveille: ...I'd like to reverse the decision the Board made a couple of <br /> weeks ago about how we contact lawyers.... <br /> Selectman Marsters: I'd like to make that motion that we reverse that decision—As a <br /> Selectman, if I have a question, I would like to be able to call an <br /> attorney. I am not going to hide anything. I'll tell you what the <br /> phone call was about,the date,the time, the full disclosure. <br /> Selectman Leveille: We should be careful about the expenditures. <br /> Selectman Marsters: ..We should be careful about expense...
