5
Board of Selectmen
Minutes
November 13, 2000
NEW BUSINESS:
Request for Pay Differential-Board of Health:
Correspondence was received from the Health Agent dated October 26,
2000 requesting the Board approve the pay differential of the Assistant
Health Agent during his absence.
Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the Pay Differential of
Veronica Warden,Assistant Health Agent to Step 1 of the Health
Agent, retroactive to October 6, 2000 to the date of November 15,
2000 as requested.
Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane.
VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0.
COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE:
The Town Administrator updated the Selectmen on recent activities which
includes a successful small claims court action in favor of the Town as it
related to the playing fields for seed and materials associated to the High
School construction project.
In addition, it was noted that the bond rating of the Town has been
upgraded to A+ status. A higher bond rating brings forth a lower rate of
interest.
Signalization is expected to be re-introduced into the project proposal of
the South Cape Village/Talanian project. It was noted that signalization in
the area of Shellback Way, Deer Crossing was deemed a priority.
