3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> December 4, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Finance Committee—Reserve Fund Transfer: <br /> s <br /> Finance Committee member Dean Arden was present to recommend the <br /> Board approve the transfer of funds from the Finance Committee's reserve <br /> fund to its expense budget. <br /> The majority of the Finance Committee voted to request the authorization <br /> of$4000 for the transfer for increased postage fees associated to the <br /> mailing of the Town Meeting warrant and for two members to attend the <br /> Annual Massachusetts Municipal Association conference in Boston. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the transfer of$2500 <br /> from the Finance Committee's reserve fund to its expense budget. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> DPW Director—Route 151 Bikeway: <br /> Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works was present with Norman Hayes, <br /> Project Manager of the BSC Group to discuss the Route 151-bikeway <br /> project with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> The evaluation and location of the bike path was reviewed. It was noted <br /> that the bikeway would also safely serve Mashpee high school students <br /> and area residents traveling to the Mashpee Commons site location. <br /> The design as depicted maintains standard arborculture procedures to <br /> protect and maintain existing plant material. Trees to be removed were <br /> carefully considered. The project is within budget. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the design of the <br /> Route 151 Bikeway as presented by the BSC Group. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
