Mr. Polsi stated that <br /> both Mr. Griegg and Mr. Bailey, Board of Assessors, supported that <br /> whole area involving the 3% Levy. <br /> Mr. Goggin also prepared a revised Projected Financial Plan and <br /> issued a copy to Committee members. He explained that he took Mr. <br /> Polsi's Plan and just realigned it. He mentioned that local <br /> receipts increased to 3%. <br /> Prior to Mr. Polsi leaving the meeting, he reiterated that the <br /> Taxpayers Association is behind the Finance Committee and will <br /> support their effort at the next Town meeting. He left the meeting <br /> at 8:05PM. <br /> The Finance Committee discussed their FY95 Budget Summary. Deirdre <br /> Greelish MOTIONED to enter the amount of $10,000 into their Expense <br /> column in their budget. Marcia King seconded the Motion, and <br /> members approved this amount by a unanimous vote of 4-0. <br /> Denise Sullivan MOTIONED to accept the sheet that Mr. Goggin <br /> completed in regard to their Board Secretary's wages. They agreed <br /> that their secretary will work approximately 26 meetings, 1 per <br /> week from the months of January through June, and only twice per <br /> month for approximately 12 meetings between July and December. <br /> They agreed that she uses approximately two hours to transcribe <br /> each meeting and two hours for other business during the month. <br /> Deirdre Greelish seconded the Motion and members voted unanimously <br /> 4-0. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Denise Sullivan asked that the Committee review a memo sent to them <br /> by Personnel regarding a review and update of the Personnel <br /> Administration Plan. The Committee responded by asking to meet <br /> with the Personnel Board on January 19, 1993 at 7: 30PM. These were <br /> the topics which they would like to discuss, 1. The elimination of <br /> Compensation Time, 2 . Adding Health Agents, Tax Collector/Treasurer <br /> and Town Clerk to the PAP Plan, and 3 . Exact wording of a <br /> "Probationary Employee" . <br /> Ms. Greelish asked whether a memo should be written to the <br /> Executive Secretary requesting proposals from an outsider for the <br /> work on the floors in Town Hail . Presently there is talk of a DPW <br /> employee doing the work at time and a half. Ms. Greelish also <br /> asked whether there should be a memo sent to the Board of Selectmen <br /> reiterating what they believed to have happened at the December 7, <br /> 1993 meeting. Mr. Goggin responded by saying that he felt that <br /> they should meet with the Board of Selectmen in regard to the <br /> Selectmen's budget initiatives and the Five Year Financial Plan. <br /> Ms. Greelish also stated that she was uncomfortable setting a <br /> precedent to give a cost of living increase of 2% in July and again <br /> in May.
