Mr. Whritenour stated that yes, it <br /> was legal if it was an unforeseen emergency. Ms. Greelish asked <br /> why this was unforeseen? Mr. Goggin asked whether or not Chief <br /> Frye could utilize funds from other salary accounts before <br /> requesting more? Mr. Whritenour thought that this was possible. <br /> Ms. Greelish asked if Chief Frye could wait until the night of the <br /> Special Town Meeting? Mr. Goggin stated that it was his <br /> understanding that the department would overspend on this account <br /> if everything goes on schedule, but that the Chief should use <br /> available funds from other salary accounts within the Department. <br /> Chief Frye expected that it would be cutting it close waiting until <br /> the Special. Ms. Greelish stated that the Committee would prefer <br /> articles, over transfer requests. She stated that she would be in <br /> support of an article. The Executive Secretary stated that he <br /> would hold a spot on the Warrant for Chief Frye to submit an <br /> article. Chief Frye stated that this was satisfactory to him and <br /> that he would submit an article for the Warrant. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Marcia King had prepared a letter addressed to the Personnel <br /> Department in regard to a standard work week for Town Hall <br /> employees. Finance Committee members agreed to send the letter as <br /> written with a minor change to paragraph two. Ms. King asked that <br /> the recording secretary put this letter .in final draft and submit <br /> to Personnel. A copy of the final draft is attached to the Minutes <br /> for your records. <br /> SCHEDULED MEETINGS <br /> Mr. Goggin informed the Committee that there were going to be <br /> meetings held on three evenings the following week. The Finance <br /> Committee is scheduled to have a joint meeting with the Board of <br /> Selectmen on the evening of Tuesday, March 8th, at 6:OOPM. The <br /> Finance Committee will hold a regular scheduled meeting on the <br /> evening of Wednesday, March 9th at 7 :OOPM. Both the Board of <br /> Selectmen and the Finance Committee are meeting with the School <br /> Committee on Thursday, March 10, 1994 at 7:OOPM in the Mashpee <br /> Middle School Library. Mr. Goggin also noted a change in the <br /> Department of Revenue Workshop from March 22, 1994 to March 23rd. <br /> The workshop is being held in the Great Room at Town Hall at <br /> 6:OOPM. Ms. Sullivan was going to reserve a room. Mr. Whritenour <br /> stated that he would send out corrected notices to all departments. <br /> Mr. Goggin also noted that Tuesday, March 15th was the Chamber of <br /> Commerce meeting. <br /> ARTICLES - ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br /> Mr. Goggin mentioned that Mr. Whritenour was kind enough to share <br /> a copy of the Warrant for the night of the Annual.
