Mr. Goggin <br /> suggested recommending the 2% increases to employees who are at the <br /> top of their grade only. <br /> Ms. Greelish MOTIONED to agree with the two 2% cost of living <br /> increases for PAP employees only. John Ferriday seconded the <br /> Motion and members voted 4-2. Mr. Goggin and Ms. King <br /> disapproving. <br /> It was also the unanimous feeling of the Committee that elected <br /> officials fight for salary increases on Town Meeting floor. <br /> The Finance Committee also unanimously agreed to fund Personnel for <br /> a part time clerk only. They did not approve the hiring of a human <br /> resource director. They feel that the employee who is there <br /> presently is being paid a salary of a director and should be given <br /> more responsibility. The Committee agreed to the hiring of an 18 <br /> hour part time clerk to offer the current employee some assistance. <br /> FUTURE MEETINGS <br /> The Finance Committee asked the recording secretary to schedule <br /> meetings with certain departments for Tuesday, March 22 , 1994 and <br /> Thursday, March 24th. Personnel 7: 30PM Leisure Services 7 : 30PM <br /> Town Clerk 7: 45PM School 7:45PM <br /> Fire Department 8:OOPM <br /> Police 8: 30PM <br /> Department Heads were asked to speak with Denise Sullivan should <br /> they have a problem with the above schedule. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 9: 30PM. The next meeting is scheduled for <br /> Tuesday, March 22, 1994 at 6:45PM. <br />
