Mr. Vaccaro stated that the Selectmen agreed to take <br /> the "wait and see attitude" . He stated that the Selectmen, if <br /> needed, would come to the Finance Committee at a later time if they <br /> fell short. Ms. Greelish reminded Mr. Vaccaro that it is the <br /> intention of the Finance Committee that the October Town Meeting <br /> not be a money meeting. She did not want departments to get the <br /> wrong idea, that if they do not budget right in May it can be <br /> corrected in October. Mr. Vaccaro stated that this was not what he <br /> was saying. He felt a transfer from the Reserve could be used at <br /> that time, if needed. <br /> Ms. Greelish indicated that the Committee would place the $100 back <br /> into the Treasurer's expense line item for personal travelling <br /> expenses in making deposits. <br /> PERSONNEL <br /> There is a difference of $3 ,753 in the salary/wage line item. Ms. <br /> Greelish mentioned that there was a reduction in the board <br /> secretaries' wages. Ms. Sullivan indicated that she spoke with Ms. <br /> Farren regarding this reduction and Ms. Farren agreed. Mr. Costa <br /> was uncomfortable with the change. <br /> DATA PROCESSING <br /> The Finance Committee's recommendation was off by $42,076. The <br /> Committee agreed to go along with the Selectmen's recommendation of <br /> $67,540. <br /> TOWN CLERK <br /> There was a difference of $648 in the salary-elected line item. <br /> The difference was 2%. There was a difference of $4 ,604 in salary <br /> and wages. Ms. Greelish stated that the difference is in the <br /> rescinded petition article. Ms. Greelish asked if the Selectmen <br /> had received their memo requesting that their article remove the <br /> other two items in the petition article as well. Mr. Vaccaro <br /> stated that yes they had received it, but had not discussed it at <br /> yet. He stated that they would review. <br /> ELECTIONS AND REGISTRATIONS <br /> There was a difference of $6,876 in this salary and wage line item. <br /> Mr. Vaccaro stated that this would have to be reviewed and the <br /> Selectmen would make a determination. <br /> PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br />
