LIBRARY Page 5
Ms. Greelish indicated that the difference is that the Finance
Committee only recommended two terminals. Mr. Whritenour explained
that the library currently has four terminals by grant. Ms.
Greelish indicated that the Committee would discuss it.
SCHOOL
Mr. Vaccaro noted the difference of $249,63.1. The Finance
Committee is recommending $6,107,631. Judy Mills recommended going
along with the Finance Committee's figure. The Selectmen agreed.
Mr. Vaccaro mentioned that the Finance Committee lowered the
Falmouth tuition amount. Ms. Greelish stated that the Finance
Committee agreed that this has always been funded to high. The
Selectmen went along with the Finance Committee's figure.
OTHER. BUSINESS
Mr. Vaccaro asked the Finance Committee if they were in support of
the PAP two 2% increases? Ms. Greelish answered yes, with
reservation. She felt that the budget should not have included the
increases because if the voters decide against it, all of the
increases would need to be taken out on Town Meeting floor. There
could have been one separate article with the increases totalled.
Mr. Vaccaro indicated that the Finance Committee needed to have
their recommendations in final on Thursday. Ms. Greelish asked
when the Finance Committee could speak to the Selectmen regarding
the Articles? Mr. Vaccaro stated that the Warrant was being
executed next Monday. Mr. Costa felt that there was nothing to
discuss with the Finance Committee regarding the Articles. Mr.
Vaccaro mentioned that if the Finance Committee wanted their
recommendation in the newspaper, then they would need their
recommendations in by Thursday.
Mr. Vaccaro indicated that the Finance Committee could leave,
because the Selectmen had a full agenda this evening.
The Finance Committee agreed to call an emergency meeting for
Tuesday evening, April 5, 1994 at 7:OOPM to clear up any
discrepancies.
These Minutes were submitted by Jean M. Mooney, Recording
Secretary.
