It was also his <br /> concern that the taxpayers of the Town would be paying for <br /> something that will not be totally utilized. Mr. Fudala mentioned <br /> that his original recommendation was for a high school to be built <br /> for 1000 students, but the State will reimburse the Town for 1180 <br /> students. <br /> Ms. King asked if the Committee felt that the High School Building <br /> Committee should come in and talk to the Committee? Mr. Goggin <br /> answered that the Committee would talk about it at the next <br /> meeting. <br /> Correspondence <br /> There was a letter from Robert V. Antonucci , Commissioner of <br /> Education, regarding the reduction of Mashpee's FY95 minimum <br /> contribution to its regional school district in accordance with <br /> G.L. c.70, s.2. The amount is $347,170 and will reduce the minimum <br /> contribution from $7,374,996 to $7,027,826. <br /> There was a memo from Selectman Vaccaro to the Finance Committee <br /> regarding budget implications of the retirement of Chief Frye. <br /> Chief Frye will be retiring as of January 3 , 1995. His severance <br /> agreement entitles him to $13,000 which will be paid out of the <br /> Police Salary and Wage Account. <br /> There was a memo from Greg Taylor, DPW Director, regarding a lease <br /> purchase of a 2CY wheeled loader. The annual cost of $29,732 <br /> reflects an interest rate of 6%. This proposal is 15% below the <br /> approved Town Meeting budget of$35,000. <br /> There was a memo from the Executive Secretary regarding school <br /> related bills. The memo explained that the only school related <br /> legal bill from the FY94 Legal Engineering budget was from the Law <br /> Firm Kenney, Conley, Sullivan and Smith and are related to the <br /> Duffy v. Mashpee litigation case. <br /> There was a memo to all Departments from Mr. Whritenour regarding <br /> chimney repair. <br /> There was a memo to Committee Chairmen regarding a Committee <br /> handbook drafted by the Board of Selectmen forwarded for comments <br /> and suggestions. <br /> Mr. Goggin mentioned that he would ask Anne Shaw, Treasurer, to <br /> leave the total outstanding real estate taxes as of June 30, 1994 <br /> in the Finance Committee's mailbox for the next meeting. <br /> Minutes submitted by Jean M. Mooney, Recording Secretary. The next <br /> scheduled meeting is on Thursday, August 25, 1994 at 7:00PM. It <br /> will be a joint meeting between the Personnel Board and the Finance <br /> Committee. <br />
