She suggested that he write a letter <br /> to the Taxpayers' Association requesting that he be informed as to <br /> all of their meetings regarding public safety. Mr. Goggin <br /> explained that he did not feel that the Association was obligated <br /> to invite the Finance Committee, but that they should do their work <br /> and then report to the Finance Committee with facts and final <br /> results from their studies. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Mr. Goggin explained that he and Ms. Greelish put together the <br /> figures on the financial plan and the numbers did not look good. <br /> He explained that it was his and Ms. Greelish's intention to review <br /> these figures again and share them with the Committee at the next <br /> meeting. Mr. Ferriday felt that the Board of Selectmen had never <br /> acknowledged the Long Range Plan. Mr. Goggin felt that, on the <br /> contrary, the School Department's budget was set by the figure <br /> contained in the Long Range Plan. <br /> Ms. King mentioned that she had met with Dr. DeMoura and discussed <br /> . school enrollments and the Education Reform Act. She explained <br /> that Dr. DeMoura and the School Committee were still intending to <br /> meet with the Finance Committee on September 27th to discuss <br /> enrollments and the 1994 per pupil cost. <br /> REQUEST FOR TRANSFER FROM THE RESERVE FUND <br /> The Committee decided that they would rather transfer the Town <br /> Clerk's request for $1 ,046 for zoning books from the Reserve Fund, <br /> than to have it remain on the Warrant. Marcia King MOTIONED to <br /> transfer $1,046 from the Reserve Fund to the Town Clerk Expense <br /> Account for the purpose of printing 100 zoning books. John <br /> Ferriday seconded the Motion and members approved the transfer 5-0. <br /> Juan Bacigalupi had left the meeting at 6:40PM, due to another <br /> commitment. <br /> ANNUAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br /> The Committee quickly reviewed the Town Meeting Warrant, before <br /> they adjourned to join the Board of Selectmen's meeting already in <br /> progress. They agreed that Article 1 would be postponed (data <br /> processing system purchase) . The Committee approved Articles 2 and <br /> 3 . Article 2 referred to unpaid bills and Article 3 referred to <br /> the School Lunch Revolving Account. In regard to Article 4 , the <br /> Finance Committee agreed to transfer this money from the Reserve <br /> Fund, rather than have it remain on the Warrant.
