Page 4 <br /> the Overlay could pay for the data processing equipment. Ms. <br /> Greelish asked if some of the Articles could be paid from this <br /> Overlay Account instead of Free Cash? Mr. Whritenour explained <br /> that he was comfortable leaving that money earmarked for the data <br /> processing purchases. <br /> Article 7 (firefighters contract) okay. Mr. Goggin noted for the <br /> record that he, nor the Finance Committee, would be willing to <br /> recommend any contracts in the future without first having been <br /> involved in discussions. Mr. Whritenour stated that yes, in the <br /> future the Board of Selectmen, the attorneys, himself and the <br /> Finance Committee should meet and set parameters. Article 8 <br /> (personnel consultant) , the Finance Committee was recommending it <br /> be funded from the Legal and Engineering Account. Mr. Whritenour <br /> explained that it needed to be appropriated from Free, Cash. He <br /> stated that there was not enough room in that account. Article 9 <br /> (125th anniversary) , Mr. Whritenour explained that the Town would <br /> get back 80% of the cost in fees, approximately $27,000. <br /> Article 14 (demolition building) , the two parties were recommending <br /> zero funding. The Building Inspector would utilize the Reserve <br /> Fund when the need arises in the future instead of making a <br /> separate fund. Ms. King questioned the legality and if there was <br /> an opinion from Town Counsel? Mr. Whritenour explained that yes it <br /> I4 was all legal . Article 15 (stabilization) , the amount being placed <br /> in this account was $230 ,294. Articles 23 , 24, 25, 26, 32 and 33 <br /> are road takings and money would come back to the Town if in fact <br /> the Town votes to accept the roads. <br /> Mr. Goggin asked Mr. Whritenour about Medicaid Reimbursement which <br /> was discussed a year ago. Mr. Whritenour responded saying that yes <br /> money was due the Town and would be placed in the General Fund. He <br /> explained that Dr. DeMoura was working on that. <br /> Mr. Whritenour stated that he would like to have a more interactive <br /> role with the Finance Committee during the budget process this <br /> year. Mr. Goggin asked if he would like to come to the next <br /> meeting? Mr. Whritenour asked to wait a couple of weeks. <br /> Mr. Goggin asked about the revamping of Town Hall? Mr. Whritenour <br /> answered that he and the Selectmen feel the building is inadequate <br /> and needs to be renovated. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Mr. Goggin mentioned that there was another gentlemen interested in <br /> becoming a member of the Finance Committee. His name is Sid Goleb <br /> and Mr. Goggin would invite him to attend the next meeting on <br /> Tuesday, October 4, 1994. At that time, the Finance Committee <br /> would also discuss the Long Range Plan. The Committee also agreed <br /> to meet prior to the start of the Town meeting at 6:30PM. <br />
