MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> NOVEMBER 9, 1994 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7:10PM <br /> Finance Committee members present: Dan Goggin, Chairman; Marcia <br /> King, Vice Chairman; Juan Bacigalupi; Tony Gallo; John Ferriday and <br /> Denise Sullivan. <br /> Marie Tobey was invited to attend the meeting. Ms. Tobey had <br /> recently sent her resume to the Town requesting the open seat on <br /> the Finance Committee. Mr. Goggin scheduled her interview at <br /> 7:OOPM. Ms. Tobey did not show up at the meeting and the meeting <br /> commenced at 7 :10PM. <br /> Guests included Sid Golub, Finance Committee's newly recommended <br /> member. Mr. Golub entered the meeting at 7: 30PM. <br /> Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting is for <br /> the transcription of the Minutes only. Once the Minutes are <br /> approved, the tapes will be reused. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Marcia King MOTIONED to approve the Minutes of October 25, 1994 as <br /> written. Juan Bacigalupi seconded the Motion and members approved <br /> the Minutes by a vote of 6-0. <br /> Association of Town Finance Committees <br /> Mr. Goggin asked for comments regarding the meeting from the <br /> members who had attended. The three members who had attended the <br /> meeting was Marcia King, Juan Bacigalupi and Denise Sullivan. Ms. <br /> King felt that the meeting was excellent and definitely worth <br /> attending. She explained that she had been scheduled to attend the <br /> morning workshop given by the Department of Revenue in which the <br /> Education Reform Bill was discussed. She noted that they also <br /> discussed the Department of Education FY95 Foundation Program <br /> Information and Outreach Services. Her afternoon session was also j <br /> regarding the Education Reform Bill. Mr. Bacigalupi had received <br /> some information from the Department of Education regarding the <br /> Outreach Services and the FY95 Foundation Program. He passed <br /> copies of this information out to the members. Ms. King explained <br /> that the Department of Education has estimated that the schools <br /> will need $8,069,220 (not including Cape Cod Tech) for FY96. <br /> Ms. Sullivan explained that she attended the sessions which covered <br /> local issues and the topic of regional planning. She explained <br /> that this covered everything from regionally purchasing office <br /> supplies to fire engines and DWP equipment. Mr. Goggin asked if <br /> this was something that was being recommended at this meeting? Ms. <br /> Sullivan answered yes. Ms. Sullivan stated that representatives <br /> from the Sandwich and Falmouth Finance Committees were also at this <br />
