NASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> DECEMBER 20, 1994 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7:00PM <br /> Finance Committee Members present: Dan Goggin, Chairman; Marcia <br /> King, Vice Chairman; Sid Golub; Juan Bacigalupi and John Ferriday. <br /> Denise Sullivan and Tony Gallo were unable to attend. <br /> Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting is for <br /> the transcription of the Minutes only. Once the Minutes are <br /> approved, the tapes will be reused. <br /> Minutes <br /> John Ferriday MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of November 29, 1994 <br /> as written. Sid Golub seconded the Motion and members voted 3-1, <br /> Juan Bacigalupi opposing. Ms. King refrained from voting due to <br /> her absence from that meeting. <br /> Juan Bacigalupi MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of December 13 , 1994 <br /> as amended. There was a correction to page 3, last paragraph. <br /> Marcia King seconded the Motion and members approved the Motion by <br /> a vote of 4-0. Mr. Ferriday refrained from voting due to his <br /> absence from that meeting. <br /> CorrespondAce <br /> Mr. Goggin asked that three letters be sent. The first letter <br /> requesting that Jane LaBute, Town Clerk, explain to the Finance <br /> Committee the financial advantage of purchasing electronic ballot <br /> boxes. The Committee also wished for her to advise them of other <br /> options available. The second and third letters were to be sent to <br /> Robert Whritenour, Executive Secretary. The first letter informed <br /> Mr. Whritenour and the Board of Selectmen that Mr. Goggin would be <br /> the Finance Committee's representative to sit on the Capital <br /> Improvement Committee. The second letter requested a response as <br /> to when the Computer Committee would be meeting for the <br /> implementation of the Town's personal computers? The letter also <br /> asked when the Computer Committee would be meeting again, for they <br /> have not rivet in some time. <br /> Request for Transfer <br /> The Finance Committee discussed the prior request from the Town <br /> Accountant for $1,620.31 to employ a part time clerk/bookkeeper <br /> effective January 23, 1995. Mr. Goggin stated that Diane <br /> Rommelmeyer had left some figures with him which were requested at <br /> the prior meeting. Certain Committee members were not comfortable <br /> with the transfer and felt that the policy was incorrect and needed <br /> to be reviewed. Mr. Goggin suggested that Sid Golub sit down with <br /> Marilyn Farren and Ms. Rommelmeyer to clear up any questions that <br /> he had. Ms. King suggested having the Personnel Board come and <br />
