It is the liaisons responsibility to furnish
statistics. He also stated that the Education Reform Act plays a
large role. Mr. Ferriday stated that there needs to be some
flexibility. It was his opinion that schools will never have
enough money, and the Town will never have enough revenues. The
Education Reform Act has at least given the Town a handle. Mr.
Bacigalupi felt that as a Committee they need to sit down and
figure out ways to increase revenues, for eg. raising dump fees.
Mr. Golub noted for the record that the Long Range Plan shows a
very large gap between revenues and expenses. It should be the
Board of Selectmen's responsibility to find additional revenue.
Ms. King suggested that Shellfish fees also be investigated, should
dump and ambulance fees be researched.
Long Range Plan
The Committee received an updated version of the Long Range Plan
from Mr, Bacigalupi. The Committee reviewed the sheets with him.
Mr. Bacigalupi stated that until he received some accurate numbers
the plan is not completely accurate.
The Committee agreed to review the handout and meet again on
Tuesday, January 3 , 1995 at 7:OOPM. Mr. Bacigalupi stated that he
would not be able to attend. Minutes respectfully submitted by
Jean M. Mooney, Recording Secretary.
