Board of Selectmen Minutes 6 January 11, 1999 OLD BUSINESS: Open Sp=Committee-Resigliation for Acce n Motion made by Selectman Frye to accept the resignation of George R. Costa from the Open Space Committee with regret. Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Open Space Committee -Discussion of Additional Appointments: The Selectmen reviewed the minutes of the Mashpee Open Space Committee. In particular,the minutes of December 22, 1999 relative to the committee's recommendation for the makeup of said committee was evaluated. As noted,the Open Space Committee voted to recommend the Selectmen change the number of voting members from seven to nine, and appoint Diane Rommelmeyer and Anne Shaw as ex-officio members. Two citizens at large were recommended for appointment. In addition, the committee suggested that Mr. Whritenour become an ex-officio member, and that a representative from the Planning Board be appointed as a full voting member. Discussion followed. It was noted that the newly formed Open Space Committee has met on four occasions to discuss basic strategies. The committee is relying on the Local Comprehensive Plan as dictated in the Act informed Selectman Leveille who is the Chairman of the committee of discussion. Selectman Taylor serves as Vice-Chairman. Motion made by Selectman Frye to change the makeup of the Open Space Committee to(9)voting members. Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Motion made by Selectman Frye to appoint; Beverly Kane and Evelyn Buschenfeldt to the Open Space Committee. Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.
