7 <br /> F�,Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 15, 1999 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> June Dale —Award for"Give Us Shelter": <br /> The Cable Television Division of the MA Department of <br /> Telecommunications and Energy presented a first place award <br /> To the Mashpee public access television show"Give Use Shelter" in the <br /> 13Ih Annual Massachusetts Community Television Contest. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Ada tion of Police Recruiting Policy: <br /> The Selectmen carefully reviewed the revised Police Recruiting Policy, <br /> and made the following recommendations to the"Application for <br /> Weighed Scoring Points"in an effort to give emphasis to Mashpee <br /> residents to be considered for employment. <br /> Full-time Town of Mashpee Resident 18 points <br /> (Academy Training 5 points) <br /> (MPD Cadet Program 0 points--Program not in place) <br /> Consideration for Community ServiceNolunteerism <br /> Consideration to Credit for Employment within Town of Mashpee <br /> The subcommittee created to revise the proposed Police Recruiting Policy <br /> will further review the issue. The matter will be a future agenda topic of <br /> the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Acce Lance of Emergency Mana ement Plan: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to accept the amendment to the <br /> Emergency Management Plan as defined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> i <br />
