9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 15, 1999 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Approval of 111-F Benefits: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Chief of Police dated January 19, <br /> 1999 requesting approval for 111-F Benefits. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve Section 111-F Benefits <br /> to Patrol Officer Sean IL Sullivan for injury on duty as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Kiwanis Club of Mashpee—Request for Signs: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Kiwanis Club of Mashpee dated <br /> March 9, 1999 requesting approval to install four signs on the streets of <br /> Mashpee with the Kiwanis International insignia. The signs are round, <br /> 30" in diameter, with a smaller 8x24"rectangular sign located below to <br /> designate meeting dates and times. <br /> The DPW submitted communication to the Selectmen with respect to this <br /> regard. Mr. Taylor suggested the signs be combined with the existing <br /> Rotary Club signs on Route 130 and Route 151. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the request of the <br /> Kiwanis Club of Mashpee for signs as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Re nest of Commonwealth Electric for Town Meeting Article/Letter of <br /> Intent: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve and execute the Letter <br /> of Intent to grant Commonwealth Electric Company an easement to <br /> install and maintain an underground electric system to provide <br /> service to the treatment facility at the Quashnet Bog, and support the <br /> Town Meeting article as defined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
