1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 15, 1999 <br /> Present: Selectman Marsters, Selectman Taylor, <br /> Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Leveille <br /> Town Administrator Robert Whritenour <br /> Assistant Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Absent: Selectman Frye <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Marsters at 6:30 p,m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Wednesday FebruM 24, 1999 Budget Meeting: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the Budget Meeting <br /> minutes of Wednesday, February 24, 1999 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> None at this time. <br /> Fire Station BuildinR Committee—Conceptual Desigp Presentation: <br /> The Fire Station Building Committee was present with Project Architects, <br /> Len Bertaux and James May of Wallace,Floyd, Associates to review the <br /> conceptual design for the Mashpee Fire Station renovation/restoration <br /> project with members of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Fire Chief, George Baker gave a brief history of the project proposal. It <br /> was the unanimous recommendation of the committee to bring forth to the <br /> Selectmen, conceptual design scheme 2B,new construction for an <br /> estimated$2.4 million. <br /> It was noted that the existing central station will remain operational during <br /> construction to eliminate the need for temporary housing. New <br /> construction will be built on the south side of the subject property adjacent <br /> to the existing apparatus bays. <br />
