7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 29, 1999 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Approval of Program Extension for Rody Resource Grant Fund: <br /> A memo was presented to the Board for approval relative to the request to <br /> extend the Mashpee Ready Resource Fund grant through April 30, 1999. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the request to the <br /> Community Development Fund/Ready Resource Fund Program <br /> (#5087)for a one month extension from March 31, 1999 to <br /> April 30, 1999 to complete the grant program as outlined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Re guest of Ca Cod Rowing foLApproval. <br /> Representatives from Cape Cod Rowing were present to request the <br /> Selectmen approve an Interscholastic Rowing Meet/Regatta on Saturday.- <br /> May 15, 1999 at the state boat ramp and public beach at Mashpee/Wakeby <br /> Pond. <br /> The Board requested the Chief of Police and Fire remit response to the <br /> proposal. Information relative to police detail and EMT assistance was <br /> requested for additional review. The matter will be discussed as a future <br /> agenda topic of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> MMR ISSUES: <br /> The Selectmen reviewed the matter of the town-issued road closure of <br /> Hillside Avenue and Wheeler Road to permit the Air Force of <br /> Environmental Excellence to install pollution-control wells in the <br /> neighborhood of Briarwood. <br /> Mr. Whritenour discussed the SD-5 plume meeting as recapped from <br /> Selectman Caffyn, a member of the Senior Management Team on the <br /> pollution clean-up process. <br /> Hillside Road resident, Shannon Murphy requested the Selectmen address <br /> her concerns with respect to the disruption of her property during the <br /> construction process. <br />
