3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 10, 1999 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Proclamation—Maly LeClair Day: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to place the above topic as an <br /> agenda item of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to proclaim the date of <br /> Wednesday,May 19, 1999 as Mary LeClair Day in Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> It was noted that Mary LeClair was nominated as Citizen of the Year <br /> by the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce. The Selectmen at the next <br /> regular meeting will execute the proclamation. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Watershed Management Committee Discussion: <br /> Selectman Taylor, a member of the Watershed Management Committee <br /> requested the Board reorganize the makeup of the subject committee. <br /> There have been recent difficulties in achieving a quorum for its meetings. <br /> It is important to continue to review strategies to improve the quality of <br /> the Town's watersheds. In particular, it is necessary to educate the <br /> citizens of the study performed by Dr. Brian Howes informed Selectman <br /> Taylor. <br /> Of the thirteen-member committee, five members have submitted response <br /> requesting to continue to participate as an active member of the Watershed <br /> Management Committee. <br /> :j <br />
