10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 17, 1999 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Willowbend Sign Re nest for Approval: <br /> The Willowbend Children's Charity has requested the Selectmen grant <br /> Permission to place two signs at the Mashpee Rotary beginning June 1, <br /> 1999 through June 28, 1999 for the golf event_ <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the request of <br /> Willowbend for signage from June 1, 1999 through June 28, 1999 as <br /> presented for the annual event. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Willowbend Request to Waive Fees.- <br /> The Willowbend Children's Charity has requested the Selectmen waive <br /> any reimbursement obligation for Mashpec Fire and Police personnel <br /> needed for the day of the charitable event on Monday, June 28,. 1999. <br /> It was noted that the Willowbend Children's Charity has donated over <br /> $550,000 to organizations that benefit the children of Mashpee and Cotuit. <br /> Each expense the Pro-Am incurs decreases the annual donation to charity. <br /> Mr. Whritenour recommended the Board set policy and review certified <br /> charitable events on a case by case basis. The out of packet cost for actual <br /> manpower wages should be paid for the organization suggested Mr. <br /> Whritenour, Town Administrator. <br /> Discussion followed. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to set policy for the Willowbend <br /> Children's Charity and future charitable events that qualify,and <br /> waive all charges for the event other than personnel and other out of <br /> pocket expenses as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
