13 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 12, 1999 <br /> Request for Repairs to Shields Road Extension: <br /> The Board reviewed correspondence from the DPW Director dated July 8, <br /> 1999 relative to a request for assistance to grade the private dirt road <br /> section of Santuit Lane that includes Shields Lane. <br /> Mr. Bache, a resident of the area of discussion intends to purchase <br /> approximately 65 tons of crushed stone. The value of work the Town <br /> would provide is estimated to cost$500. The fee would include labor and <br /> equipment costs. <br /> Discussion followed. It was noted that the issue does not conform to the <br /> Selectmen's policy. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to authorize the assistance of the <br /> Department of Public Works as presented subject to the full payment <br /> of labor and equipment costs from the residents of the area of <br /> discussion. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing—The Zuni Cafe: <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the Public Hearing on the receipt of <br /> notification that The Zuni Cafe has abandoned the licensed premise <br /> located at 38 Nathan Ellis Highway,Building#7, in Mashpee Commons. <br /> Selectman Leveille stepped down for the above discussion. <br /> Mrs. Mason, Assistant Town Administrator read aloud the hearing <br /> notification as dated July 6, 1999. In addition, a memorandum from <br /> Adam Smith relative to the license being held by the Cape Cod Bank and <br /> Trust was read into the minutes. <br /> Correspondence was received from Mashpee Commons Limited <br /> Partnership dated March 22, 1999 advising the Board that Tacosmith,Inc. <br /> d/b/a Zuni Cafd has abandoned the premises on Sunday,March 21, 1999. <br /> Mr. John Renz,MCLP was in attendance. <br />
