8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 12, 1999 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Wa a Duchemin—EDIC Legislation Update, <br /> Wayne Duchemin,Director of the Economic Development Office was <br /> present to recommend the Selectmen approve wording amendments to the <br /> EDIC Legislation Bill as advised by legislative counsel Elaine Farrell. <br /> Amendments as stipulated in the memorandum of July 6, 1999 were <br /> recommended in Section 3 and in Section 16 of the legislative bill <br /> proposed to establish the Mashpee Economic Development and Industrial <br /> Corporation. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the recommended <br /> amendments to the EDIC Legislation Bill as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request for Waterway Assistant Funding. <br /> Perry Ellis,Harbor Master was present to request the Selectmen approve <br /> the funding of a fourth Waterways Assistant. The 20 hour per week <br /> position can be funding from the Waterways Improvement and <br /> Maintenance Account. The requested sum is $2,204. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to approve of funding to employ a <br /> fourth.Waterways Assistant,20 hours per week as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
