9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Mintites <br /> November 15, 1999 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Approval of LibEm Architect Contract: <br /> Members of the Library Building Committee were present to request the <br /> Board approve uric Library Architect Contract for the Library Feasibility <br /> Study. <br /> It was noted that the Board of Selectmen voted to authorize the Library <br /> Building Committee to negotiate a fee with Powers and Co-inpa:ny for the <br /> above referenced services for a sum not to exceed $25,000. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to authorize the services of <br /> Powers and Company to conduct the Library Feasibility Study far the <br /> sum of$25,000 as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Letter of Request from AFCEE for Earlier Start Time for Drilling- <br /> Representatives from AFCEE were present to request the Board approve <br /> of a 7:00 a.m. start time to conduct the drilling on Ashurnet Pond and on <br /> the Quashnet Bogs. The current work time of 8:00 a.m. has a detrimental <br /> effect on drilling productivity. Drilling is expected to be completed in mid <br /> December. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to approve of the 7:00 a.m. start <br /> time for drilling as requested by AFCEE from Monday through <br /> Friday,and remain with the 8:00 a.m, start time on Saturdays subject <br /> y to notification to area residents. <br /> r Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: 4-1. Motion carries. <br /> Selectman Leveille in opposition. <br /> The Town Administrator and Chairman of the Board were authorized to <br /> report any complaints to AFCEE regarding the intended start time. <br />
