Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 2 <br /> February 17, 1998 <br /> FY99 BUD9ET WGRKSHOP: <br /> Director of Public Works: <br /> DPW Tempoma Wage: The Board supported the request to employ <br /> an additional (2) seasonal summer employee's for grounds and maintenance <br /> } projects. The increase will provide for two work Crews, a total of four <br /> seasonal employee's. <br /> Repairs to Private Roads: Mr. Taylor was requested to furnish cost estimates <br /> to provide temporary repairs to private roads for ongoing maintenance and <br /> improvement. It was noted that the Board previously approved the sum of <br /> $10,000 as a separate line item for emergency repairs to private roads. <br /> Beach Nourishment: The sum of$15,000 for beach nourishment will provide <br /> engineering services,and incorporate replacement sand to South Cape Beach <br /> this spring. <br /> Landscapin,gZIown Buildings: The departmental request for$17,800 will assist <br /> in the maintenance and beautification of the Library, Senior Center,Archives and <br /> Town Hall buildings. Additional landscape and replacement of shrubbery is <br /> included in the estimate. <br /> Mr. Taylor was directed to provide a cost benefit analysis to install an irrigation <br /> system at the Town Hall and Police Station. <br /> 5r,le=F.n7 <br /> Selectmen,Overtimew It is the consensus of the Board to insert the words; <br /> Temnorarv_Wag s in place of the word overtime. It was noted that this account <br /> is used to employ the services of the audio-visual technician during Town <br /> Meeting presentations. <br /> Selectmen Special Events Planning; Figure to be determined. <br /> Sele=gn Engineering: The Board requested a complete breakdown of <br /> engineering services per department for additional review. <br />
