Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 3 <br /> February 17, 1998 <br /> FY99 BUDGET WORKSHOP: <br /> Selectmen: <br /> Selectman Consulting: Mr. Whritenour will provide further detail to the line item <br /> as it pertains to services provided by William Fisher of Woodard& Curran, <br /> Environmental Consultants. A separate budget was recently approved at Town <br /> Meeting in the amount of$25,000. Consulting services are directly related to <br /> plume-related issues. <br /> Economic Development Other Purchases of Service: To be further examined. <br /> Finance Expgnse: Selectman Costa recommended the Finance Committee <br /> incorporate an addenda to their warrant analysis to include a comment letter <br /> from the Board of Selectmen. Mr. Watt, Chairman of the Finance Committee <br /> took the recommendation under advisement. <br /> Accountant Communication: Diane Rommelmeyer, Town Accountant indicated <br /> that the FY99 budget report has consolidated all communication accounts in an <br /> effort to monitor and control telephone communication and use. The line item; <br /> Town Hall Communication contains all departments telephone expenses. It was <br /> noted that advertising and mailings are included in the projected sum total for all <br /> town departments. <br /> Assessors Full-Time Salary Local 254: A net reduction of$18,275.60 reflects a <br /> reduced full position to part-time. <br /> Treasurer Part-Time Salary: Local 254: The office has requested an additional <br /> employee; part-time, $8,843. An employee vs. the use of additional office <br /> efficiencies was discussed. <br /> Foreclosure Other Purchases of Service: The Board requested a report of legal <br /> expenditures for the next scheduled budget meeting. <br /> Perimeter of Contract Negotiations: Agenda item of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> S Ieecttmen Communications: Further review. <br />
