Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 2 <br /> March 16, 1998 <br /> i <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARING <br /> Finance Committee - Warrant Review: <br /> The Finance Committee met in joint session with members of the Board of <br /> Selectmen for the purpose of reviewing the Annual and Special Town Meeting <br /> warrants dated March 1.3, 1998. <br /> Special Town Meeting Warrant. <br /> Article#4: To transfer the sum of$5,000 to the Police Department <br /> Expense Account to fund the unanticipated shortfall related <br /> to the purchase of fuel for police vehicles. <br /> Consensus to eliminate the article from the warrant. The <br /> Finance Committee is supportive of Reserve Fund Transfer <br /> if necessary. It was noted that the Town is reviewing the <br /> possibility of Town owned fuel pumps. <br /> Article#6: To fund the repair and renovation of the Central Fire Station, <br /> and to provide for the design of a future sub-station. <br /> Correspondence was received from Jim Vaccaro, Chairman of <br /> the Fire Station Building Committee dated March 13, 1998 <br /> requesting the Board consider the article for the October Town <br /> Meeting. It was noted that the committee is working with the <br /> architect and cost estimator to resolve schematic design and <br /> cost-related issues at this time. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to postpone Article#6 <br /> until the October 1998 Town Meeting. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Article#8: To transfer the sum of$15,000 from the Assessing Department's <br /> Salary/Wage Account to the Data Processing Computer Account to <br /> upgrade the Assessing Department's computer hardware and <br /> software. <br />
