Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 8 <br /> April 27, 1998 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HE , GS-, <br /> Lake Management Committee: (continued) <br /> The Conservation Commission has committed funding for the contract position, <br /> one year, but are unable to supply more funding for the remaining tasks related <br /> to his project informed Mr. Sherman. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to commit to move the project forward. <br /> Mr. Whritenour was directed to meet with the Lake Management Committee <br /> to further address this concern. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> approval of Diesel Fuel Bid Extgnsion: <br /> Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works recommended the Board extend <br /> the diesel fuel bid for one year. The bid price for FY99 is .25 cents per <br /> gallon as last year. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to extend the Diesel Fuel Bid <br /> with Mike's Service Station for one year as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Rr.guc5t.fQ E—=rgency Repairs to Seconsett Point Road: <br /> The Board received correspondence from an elderly resident residing on <br /> Seconsett Point Road in request of assistance to repair Seconsett Point Road. <br /> Mrs. Crowell stated in her memo of April 8, 1998 that approximately 100 yards <br /> of road is in need of repair. The condition may prevent the passage of emergency <br /> vehicles to this area. <br /> Mr. Taylor indicated that many summer residents were not pleased with <br /> the improvements made last season. Approximately $1000 was expended last <br /> year. It was noted that many homeowner associations contribute funds to the <br /> town for road repair. He suggested the applicant contact her neighbors regarding <br /> this concern. Mr. Taylor indicated that he will provide a list of viable contractors <br /> to do the necessary work. It was noted that a petition is needed for the town to <br /> take the road as a public way. <br />
