Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 2 <br /> May 4, 1998 <br /> Town Meeting Warrant,Review: <br /> Article#28: Nutrient Management Study (continued) <br /> Language has been inserted in the motion to petition the general court for <br /> legislation to commit to municipal debt issuance for said study purpose <br /> informed Mr. Whritenour. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to change the authorized sum to <br /> borrow in Article#28 to $75,000, and include the language in the motion <br /> of said article as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOIE_: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Firefighters' Unit Proposal: <br /> Petition Article: To hire and equip(4) full-time firefighters. <br /> Mr. Whritenour indicated that the Mashpee Permanent Firefighters Association <br /> has proposed to indefinitely postpone their two petition articles for new <br /> firefighters if the Selectmen agree to sponsor an article for the October Town <br /> Meeting to provide approval and funding for(2)new firefighter positions to <br /> start on January 1, 1999. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to consult Fire Chief, George Baker with respect <br /> to this regard, and consider the proposal during next years budget process. <br /> Adjournment: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to adjourn at 6:50 p.m. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Respectively submitted, <br /> Kathleen M.
