Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 5 <br /> May 18, 1998 <br /> QLD BUSINESS: <br /> Affiongtive Action Policy 11pd, t�__.e. <br /> Correspondence was received from Marilyn Farren, Personnel <br /> Administrator dated March 26, 1998 relative to the amendments <br /> made to update the Town's Affirmative Action Policy. <br /> It was noted that a Board of Selectmen member is expected to be <br /> appointed to fill the present vacancy. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the wording <br /> amendments to the Town's Affirmative Action Policy as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> yQTY: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Request of Sally Paolini Windshield Claim-- <br /> The Board reviewed the request of Ms. Paolini to be reimbursed for <br /> a cracked windshield. It was noted that the claim was denied by the Town's <br /> insurance company. Several issues were unclear with respect to the replacement <br /> of the windshield,the actual driver of the vehicle involved in the incident which <br /> occurred on August 25, 1997. It has been determined that there is no liability <br /> on the part of the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to deny the claim for damages <br /> as requested by Sally Paolini, 9 Wamsutta Road,Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPQINTMENTS AND REARMS: <br /> Lake ManaggmenLQgMMitjeer <br /> James McGonagle, Chairman of the Lake Management Committee was present <br /> to address the management plan for Mashpee/Wakeby Pond, and the Mashpee <br /> River with members of the Board of Selectmen and interested public. <br /> Mr. McGonagle indicated that he has discussed the issue of the flow of the river <br /> with Kenneth Reback of the MA Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. <br />
