Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 4 <br /> June 8, 1998 <br /> AppQiNTNENTS AND HEA NQS: <br /> High School j3uilding Comraittee -Project Closeout: (continued) <br /> Non-permanent fencing for Baseball fields: $3,500.00 <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the expenditure <br /> of$3,500.00 for non-permanent fencing for the baseball fields. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> yOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> In addition, Mr. Griffin requested the Board set aside the sum of$20,000 <br /> in contingency funds to resolve pending contractual issues related to the <br /> closure of the High School project. <br /> Mr. Griffin indicated that the High School Building Committee voted <br /> unanimously to recommend the Board dissolve the committee, and return <br /> unappropriated funds in the amount of$257,000 back to the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to dissolve the High School <br /> Building Committee with appreciation and regret. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to authorize Paul Griffin to <br /> negotiate matters related to contractual obligations on behalf of <br /> the Town to bring resolution and final closure to the Mashpee <br /> High School project for a sum not to exceed; $20,000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Recess: 7:13 p.m. Meeting Resumed: 7:16 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Cheryl Shepley related concern with respect to the Mashpee Commons <br /> development proposal. She was advised to attend the Mashpee Commons <br /> Advisory Committee meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 1998 at 6.30 p.m. to obtain <br /> further information. <br /> I <br />
