Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 5 <br /> June 22, 1998 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS,_ <br /> Pub lip i -Chef Wingand Malt : (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to accept the request of <br /> Darren Levorce, Manager,Chef D's to withdraw the license application. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Public Hearing- Zuni Cafe Change of Description: <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the Public Hearing on the application of <br /> Tacosmith, Inc., d/b/a Zuni Cafe,Adam Smith,Manager, for a change of <br /> license to include an outside bar with outside dining in an area of 250 square feet. <br /> Selectman Leveille stepped down for the above license hearing. <br /> Mr. Whritenour,Executive Secretary read aloud the Public Hearing <br /> notice as published. Adam Smith was present to discuss the license application <br /> with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Mr. Smith indicated that the outside bar would function for service and <br /> seat twelve patrons. The seating at tables would equal thirty,as approved by <br /> the Selectmen in 1996. It was noted that the ABCC did not approve the <br /> outside seating in the initial approval process. <br /> Mr. Whritenour advised the Board to move the issue as a separate action to <br /> forward to the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission for approval. <br /> When the hearing opened for comment,Betty Nichols asked when the <br /> Board is going to stop having outside bars. Every place in Town will have an <br /> outside bar before we know it voiced Ms. Nichols in concern. <br /> Being no further comment, Selectman Marsters requested a vote from the <br /> Board to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Leveille abstained. <br />
