Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 7 <br /> August 10, 1998 <br /> CO CATION AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Council on Aging Do align: <br /> Correspondence was received from Miriam Mullin dated <br /> August 6, 1998 announcing the receipt by the Mashpee Council <br /> on Aging of a check in the amount of$100,000 payable to the <br /> Council on Aging Donation Fund from the Friends of the Mashpee <br /> Council on Aging for the purpose of enriching or enhancing the well <br /> being of the senior citizens of the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Selectman Caffyn suggested that a plaque recognize the dedication of <br /> the volunteers who have worked on this endeavor. Jim Long, the Council <br /> on Aging Director agreed to publicly recognize the individuals as described. <br /> Land Bank Bill Ceremony <br /> Bourne's Farm, West Falmouth- Tuesday,August 11, 1998 @ 9:30 a.m. <br /> Executiveecre e 's Annual Review: <br /> Agenda topic,August 24, 1998. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Approval and Exceution of Landfill Closure Contra:;_ <br /> Correspondence was received from Town Counsel, Kopelman and Paige <br /> dated July 29, 1998 relative to the contract for the closure of the <br /> Asher's Path Landfill. <br /> i <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to authorize the Board of Selectmen <br /> to approve and execute the construction contract for the closure of the <br /> Asher's Path Landfill. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
