Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 4 <br /> August 10, 1998 <br /> Tomm Meeting Warrant Review: (continued) <br /> Article#21: Penalties for Failure to License Dogs. The amendment <br /> would allow the Town Clerk's Office to alleviate paperwork <br /> for the Animal Control Officer and enable the Town Clerk to <br /> issue violations. <br /> Article 922: The article would control the proliferation of signs and <br /> continuous weekly yard, house, garage and barn sales by <br /> adding Chapter 113 to the Town bylaws. Discussion ensued. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to remove Article#22 <br /> from the Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENT'S AND HEARINGS: <br /> David Hendrick re: Access and_Tree Cuttingfor or Boys &Girls Clot <br /> David Hendrick, President of the Boys& Girls Club of Cape Cod, Inc. <br /> was present to request the Board approve selective tree pruning on the site <br /> to gain access,and egress to the property. <br /> A map was presented for the Selectmen's consideration. It was noted that the <br /> Police,Fire, and Department of Public Works have no objection to the proposal. <br /> *Approved. <br /> Town Meeting Warrant Review: (continued) <br /> Article#24: The article seeks to take property at the comer of Route 130 <br /> and Great Neck Road North for the purpose of making traffic <br /> safety improvements. <br /> Greg Taylor,Director of Public Works discussed the acquisition <br /> proposal. It is the consensus of the Board to further review <br /> potential funding initiatives. The DPW is able to contribute the <br /> sum of$42,000 towards the acquisition if approved. <br />
