Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 7 <br /> August 24, 1998 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Anmroval of contract for Route 151 Closed Loop System: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the contract with <br /> Vanasse Hangen Brustlin,Inc. (VHR)and the Town of Mashpee <br /> for the Route 151 Closed Loop System in the amount of$16,100. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND Head= <br /> Liquor License Public Hearing-Trans&r of I onse_and Expansion-of Promist <br /> Nm Scabury Coin Club: <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the public hearing on the application of New Seabury <br /> Management, Inc., d/b/a New Seabury Country Club, for the following: Transfer <br /> of liquor license and Sunday Entertainment license from New Seabury Company <br /> Limited Partnership, as well as the extension of premises to include: The <br /> Recreation Building, consisting of 1,581 square feet with a seating capacity of <br /> 100, and The Mews Conference Center, consisting of approximately 1,225 <br /> square feet with a seating capacity of 150. <br /> Mrs. Mason,Assistant to the Executive Secretary read aloud the public hearing <br /> notice as published. <br /> For the record,the Board was in receipt of a letter of objection from The Mews <br /> Village Patio Villas Homeowners Association and Directors of the Peninsula <br /> Council dated August 18, 1998, and from Loretta W. Kowal in a memo of <br /> objection as a condominium owner dated August 24, 1998. <br /> Attorney Robert Mills of Wynn and Wynn was present to discuss the license <br /> application with members of the Board and interested public. Mr. Mills <br /> presented a memo to the Selectmen respectfully requesting approval to withdraw <br /> the request to exclude The Mews Conference Center from the license application. <br /> Craig Falconieri, Manager of Record, New Seabury Country Club and Patricia <br /> Lawrence were also present for discussion. <br />
