Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 9 <br /> August 24, 1998 <br /> APPOINTMFNTS <br /> Liquor License Public Hearing-Transfer of L_kens and_Expansion of Premise <br /> SeaburyNew Counfty CIO: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the application of <br /> New Seabury Management,Inc., d/b/a New Seabury Country Club for <br /> the following: Transfer of liquor license and Sunday Entertainment <br /> license from New Seabury Company Limited Partnership, as well as <br /> the extension of premises to include: The Recreation Building,consisting <br /> of 1,581 square feet with a seating capacity of 100. The Mews Conference <br /> Center shall be exempt from the license application. The license is approved <br /> under the control and supervision of Craig Falconieri,Manager,contingent <br /> upon proof of ownership. There will be no storage of alcohol on the premises <br /> of the Recreation Building, and no outdoor drinking facilities such as a patio <br /> or bar on said premise. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> V TE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Public Heating,Algoncuin Avenue Conversion: <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the Public Hearing on the conversion of Algonquin <br /> Avenue from a private to a public way. Mr. Whritenour,Executive Secretary <br /> read aloud the hearing notice as published. <br /> The Algonquin Avenue betterment cost has been estimated to cost $262,650. <br /> Cape Southport Associates submitted correspondence to the Board dated <br /> August 18, 1998 confirming support of the betterment process with its 50% <br /> participation or$131,325. The betterment estimated to be borne by property <br /> owners of Algonquin Avenue is a projected not to exceed figure of$3,500. <br /> It was noted that the above betterment process will effect forty property owners. <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the hearing to obtain comment. <br /> Mary Cooper requested information relative to the reason for the road conversion. <br /> She was informed by Mr. Whritenour that road condition presents a significant <br /> public safety hazard. The condition of the road has deteriorated. <br />
