Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 8 <br /> August 24, 1998 <br /> APPO MENTS AND HEAR IGS: <br /> Liquor License Public Hearing- Transfer of License and_Expansion of Premise <br /> New Seabury Countrti-Gu: (continued) <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the public hearing to obtain comment. <br /> Bill O'Donnell, Chairman of The Mews Conference Center,and a member of <br /> the Board of Directors of Peninsula Council requested confirmation of the request <br /> to withdraw The Mews Conference Center from the license application. The <br /> request to withdraw the application was confirmed by the Selectmen. <br /> John McCluen asked about the proposed hours of operation. He was informed <br /> by Mr. Falconieri,Manager, of the hours of operation to be the same as the New <br /> Seabury Country Club from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. midnight. <br /> Mr. Mills added that the Recreation Building will be used primarily for functions. <br /> Alcohol will be served on a day to day basis, approximately fifty times per year. <br /> Being no further comment, Selectman Marsters requested a vote from the Board <br /> to close the public hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Discussion ensued. It was noted that the Board was advised by Town Counsel <br /> to include the extension under one license. The applicant will be requested <br /> to provide proof of ownership. Concern was voiced by the Board with respect <br /> to the storage of alcohol and related outdoor patio or bar that would serve liquor <br /> to patrons on the subject premise. <br /> i <br />
