Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 11 <br /> September 28, 1998 <br /> Approval and Execution of Landfill Capping Bonds- <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve and execute <br /> the Landfill Capping Bonds as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> BUS SS5; <br /> Correspondence from DER re: Formation of J. Braden Thomason Committee: <br /> Communication was received from the Department of Environmental Protection <br /> dated September 11, 1998 requesting the Town give input and assistance to <br /> establish a committee to review the activities for the J. Braden Thompson <br /> Road site. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to pursue membership representation from <br /> the Conservation Commission, Board of Health, and Lake Management <br /> Committee. Citizen representation shall be duly advertised for appointment <br /> of two representatives from Mashpee. <br /> Mr. Whritenour will draft a letter of appreciation to Trudy Coxe on behalf <br /> of the Selectmen for her efforts to proceed with remedial response actions. <br /> WAR ISSUES: <br /> Selectman Caffyn recommended the Board invite representatives from the <br /> military to attend a Selectmen's Meeting to review base activities relative to the <br /> recent fuel spill and related clean-up response measures. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to request the MMR to submit <br /> an Action Plan of remedial response measures to the Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
