BRIARWOOD COMMUNITY
Monitoring Well Drilling
• Start: September 21,1998
• Complete: October 16, 1998(aggressive schedule)
• Six drilling locations
• #34-Intersection of Highland Street and Hillside Avenue—one lane closed on Hillside Avenue
• #33-Intersection of Highland Street and Pinecrest Avenue—one lane closed on Pinecrest Avenue
• #32-Wheeler Road—one lane closed on Wheeler Street
#35-Hooppole Road-between numbers 199&207
• #36-Hooppole Road-along guard rail near the state boat ramp
• #37-Hooppole Road-near corner of Hillside Avenue and Hooppole Road
• Hooppole Road blocked between Highland Street and Pinecrest Avenue entire time of drilling on
Hooppole Road approximately September 29—October 16, 1998(aggressive schedule),providing
Mashpee Selectmen approve the road block at selectmen's meeting on September 28, 1998.
• Detour-Highland Street to Pinecrest Avenue to Hooppole Road.
• Highland Street and Hooppole Road will not have drilling operations occurring at same time
• Police details will be used for locations#33,#34 and at each end of the detour on Hooppole Road
during operational hours.
• Its felt that emergency vehicles will be able to pass on one side at sites#34 and#37 on Hooppole
Road. However,site#36,near the boat ramp may not allow for emergency vehicle passage.
Coordination with the fire department will be worked out when we set up on site#36,to assess the
ability of emergency vehicles to pass the site. Most likely emergency vehicles needing to access the
residences north of the boat ramp will need to use the detour route or Highland Street to Hillside
Avenue depending on the emergency location, once the drilling equipment is in place at site#36.
• Questions, call Carl Gustafson,Jacobs Engineering—564-6192 x278
